Gift 4 - 12 Gifts of Christmas Series
Enjoy this Zigzag Crochet Stocking as part of the Gifts of Christmas Series. This is designed by Linda Cyr, for Red Heart Yarns. This part is super easy to follow, though it looks complicated. It's one of those projects where you can say it was really tough but know you did it with ease.
In my sample project, pictured on the right in brown, I used 2 balls of Red Heart Boutique Treasure: Tapestry is the colour. I used Red Heart With Love: Chocolate for the cuff. The cuff isn't part of the original pattern.
In this pattern, I added a cuff by simply going back to the top edge and single crocheted around the top. I then did a continous circle around 14 times. The cuff is then folded down over the edge. Apply your embellishements. My embellishments were purchased at Canadian Tire here in Canada.

Enjoy fun Candy Swirl Coaster design for your holiday decor. I've been wanting to do this pattern for a very long time but have always been intimidated by the swirl in the photo. Once I sat down and realized how easy it was, I had egg on my face as I have been scared of something that was so incredibly easy!
Using any yarn colours you wish, your Candy Swirl can be any combinations of colours. You need three colours in all. Two colours are for the swirl and than an outside border colour to block it all in together.
You will be able to make up an entire set of these in less than an afternoon! I have some tips on being able to make these bigger and thicker too!

Gift 5 - 12 Gifts of Christmas Series
Enjoy this Jingle Bells Door Hanger. This is part of our 12 Gifts of Christmas Video Series. This is designed by Katherine Eng for Red Heart Yarns. I really enjoyed making this gift as it was really quick and easy to do. The secret to the quickness is the fact that you use two yarn strings at one time. This makes the project bulk up and grow really quick.
You can explore with any colour combinations and don't be scared to change the look by adding appliques or something else to the front face to make it more meaningful to you.
The hanger at the top was located at Walmart for $1.97. For myself, it was the only place I could find it. The bells were attached to the hanger and I decided to leave it together to make the look more interesting. I yarn bombed over the ring with single crochet how hide the rustic look of the ring to make it blend better with my project.

Wearing homemade socks has it's advantages of picking the right colours or being very creative with socks. From first hand experience, sock yarns like the Red Heart Heart & Sole, provide really interesting colour ways to make creating homemade socks a fun process. You cannot beat homemade!
You will notice that most sock yarns aren't one solid colour! What would be the point if you cannot play and make your socks really turn out neat.
In this project, we are making Boot Cuffs together. You can substitute your yarn and hook size to accomodate your own yarn stash. We have written the pattern to be versatile with giving you tips on how to create your own custom pair.
