Magical Beanie

For those who love to express themselves using colour, Red Heart Boutique's Magical Yarn line may be for you. I used a size 6.0 mm crochet hook though the yarn label calls for 6.5 mm. I did this on purpose to make the stitches nice and tight.

Magical Yarn isn't for everyone as this changes texture and thickness of yarn. There is about 6 different yarn textures with colour changes that match the entire ball. Some of the denser areas make it difficult to see the stitches. I wouldn't recommend this pattern for someone that is unfamiliar to crochet as you need to understand where the stitches are to follow the pattern.

Optional Button:

You can add on an accessory button to the brim. Seen in the photo is a plastic 2" Round Button purchased as a specialty yarn shop. I tried on the hat to measure the brim fold to match my head. I then sewed the button through brim and body of the hat so the fold is permanent.
