Crochet Crowd - Crochet-ariumWe Need Your Help for our Crochet-Arium

The Crochet Crowd sinks under the sea for Creativ Festival in the Fall of 2013. This is our 7th Creativ Festival Show.

At Creativ Festival we always go above and beyond tying in our creativity with our fans and charity at the same time. Our official charity, Crafting For A Cure, services North America. We have been responsible to raise donations for 66 hospitals with over 10,000 individual donations from our fans.

Our mission is to make guests feel like they are visiting the sea floor. We would like to decorate our exhibit as if the fish are swimming, coral is strategically placed and other sea creatures that our fans can think of.

We are looking for up to 1,000 or more different fish, creatures and items. Be creative as possible.

BashopFiresDonations of Spare Yarn & Crochet Hooks Requested

Counselor, Nenita of Lost Pines Elementary School in Bastrop Texas, has reached out to The Crochet Crowd in asking for crocheters lend a helping hand. Upon further research, there are several articles published about this massive fire that burned 1,000 homes to the ground and leaving 1000's of people homeless and struggling to repair their lives. Here's a story about this for your information

Nenita has taken the time to teach the students to crochet to help these children escape in a healthy way. Due to the situations of the students and the massive loss, Nenita is asking for any viewers who have spare yarn, crochet hooks or pattern books that you may not be using to be sent to the school. She is needing financial relief as Nenita has been paying for the supplies out of her own pocket and is requesting help in the form of product donations. I have a firm belief that crocheters and knitters are one of the most giving groups of people that are involved in the crafting industry. I think more people who crochet or knit are doing it for others as a way to reach out through charities or give gifts to others.

In starting The Crochet Crowd back in April 2008. I had this vision where I could sell my work but reality is that people are prone not to offer a fair amount for the projects considering the amount of work. I used to get requests from random viewers requesting I give them the finished tutorial sample or projects that I do.
